Automatic Transmission
Car will not change into gear
Hard up-shifts
Hard downshifts
Slow gear changes

No gear shifts
Manaual/ Standard Transmission
Can’t press down clutch pedal or change gears
Clutch pedal is sloppy; pedal drops to the floor without resistance
Clutch pedal works, but gears don’t change.
Car drops out of gear
Grinding noise while shifting gears
Car will not shift into gear
Automatic: Transmission does not engage when you use the shift lever. Engine idle is normal but car will not shift into gear. Call our service manager at (408) 492-8980.

Harsh up-shifts
Automatic: Car thuds into gear. Shifts feel firmer than normal. You feel a bang as the car shifts to next gear. Call our service manager (408) 492-8980.

Harsh down-shifts
Automatic: Car shifts into gear with a clunk when you release pressure off the throttle pedal. Firm downshift while passing. Down shifting is fine when you suddenly accelerate to pass, but the down shift should not feel overly abrupt. Call our service manager at (408) 492-8980.

Delayed Reverse Shifts
